Due to wet weather, the annual Hammond vs. Ponchatoula match has been moved to November 6 which is the Saturday morning after the Friday night football clash between the two rivals. Maybe this is where the event should be on the calendar anyway as the motivation to win will be turned up notch with the football game being played.

Our September club events to be held this month include the LGA Acorn and both Club Championships. Grady Brame, Jr. and Sharol Rowell are the defending champions and are poised at a run for another championship. The Acorn promises to be another fun event as Mary Ortego is working hard to ensure a good time. Please contact the golf shop if interested in playing in either of these events.

LABOR DAY PARTY

Oak Knoll would like to invite all members and guests to a Labor Day Bash on Sunday, Sept. 5^th.  We will have a space walk and water slide for the kids.  The pool will also be open for everyone.  Menu will be hotdogs, hamburgers, and nachos.

Beginning Monday, September 6^th Oak Knoll will be open for business.  Carts will be available for rental and the clubhouse will also be open.

STEAK& MARTINI NIGHT

On Saturday, September 25^th, menu will be ribeye steak, potatoes,veggie, and salad for $14.95.  $2.00 martinis will be available at the bar.  Must RSVP with the kitchen by Tuesday, September 21^st.

We are looking forward to having a great fall season and hoping the cooler weather will bring more play.
